Why an Australian Firefighters Calendar
The reasons for creating the calendar
The Australian Firefighters Calendar was established in 1993 to support the Children’s Hospital Foundation, providing funds for childhood burn research. Twenty-nine years later, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has raised over $3.2 million for various charities.
Every year, Australian firefighters pose for the good cause, a cause that changes from year to year. The calendar has also diversified and there are now several editions of it. You can choose the classic calendar but also opt for a calendar with firefighters and kittens (Cat Calendar) but also a version with horses, dogs. In short, with 6 different editions, there is something for everyone!
Associations supported in 2022
With such a long history of supporting important causes in Australia, these heroes thought it was time to start taking their efforts internationally. Thus, the Australian firefighters calendar has partnered this year with an American organization, Greater Good Charities. For the first time, the firefighter calendar will therefore be printed outside Australia for the US market. Sales of the 2022 calendar will support Greater Good Charities’ Rescue Rebuild program (renovating animal shelters, domestic violence shelters, and homeless shelters).
The calendar will also support Australian causes. Among them, the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital created two years ago, following the devastating fires that ravaged Australia.
